To popularise
and promote further application of Mass Spectrometric techniques
in Research and Industry.
To co-operate and maintain a liaison with other learned bodies
inside and outside India for the promotion, utilization and
popularisation of Mass Spectrometry and other related subjects.
To promote further the understanding and co-operation in this
branch of science at national level and disseminate information
through appropriate means.
To organise Meetings, Seminars, Lectures, Conferences and
Workshops in Mass Spectrometry to enable discussion of the
methods and techniques, to solve problems associated with
their applications and to help understand the significance
of the results obtained.
To advise on the choice of suitable types of Mass Spectrometers
to meet the users' needs.
To secure and manage funds, endowments and property for these
objectives through periodic and non-periodic subscriptions,
donations, grants and through other legal means.
To undertake and execute all other acts that are incidental
and conducive to the attainment of any one or more of the
objectives and thus promote the usefulness of the Society
as a professional body for Mass Spectrometry.
